Sour cream 1

Directions:
DOUGH: Stuff dates with nuts. Cream shortening and sugar until light;
beat in egg. Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with sour
cream. Stir in dates; drop onto cookie sheet. Bake at 400-degrees 8
to 10 minutes.
FROSTING: Combine all ingredients; cook until light brown. Frost
cookies. Yield: 5 dozen.
