Raisin Pie

raisins,
seedless

water 3/4
c
corn syrup,
white

tb
flour,
all-purpose

tb
sugar 1
juice,
grated rind
and,
lemon
1/2
c
nuts,
chopped

pie crust -- unbaked double,

Directions:
Combine raisins and water and boil for about 10 minutes. Combine
white corn syrup, flour, sugar, lemon rind, and juice. Add to raisins,
stir well, and let cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add chopped nuts and let
cool. Pour cooled filling into unbaked pie shell. Cover with
lattice strips of pastry, if desired. Bake at 400 degs. for 10 minutes,
reduce heat to 350 degs. and bake for 20 to 30 minutes longer.
Yield: 1 (9-inch) pie.
