Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. With electric mixer in medium bowl, combine egg, pumpkin, shortening, sugar, and molasses. Combine dry ingredients and add to first mixture. Add nuts and raisins if desired. Drop by teaspoonsful onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes.
