Pineapple Cheese Pie

Ingredients:

crushed pineapple,
(8 oz.)
with juice 1

cornstarch

cream cheese,
(8 oz.)

eggs 1/2
t
vanilla 1/4
c
pecans,
chopped (optional)

salt 1/2
c
milk 1
unbaked 9" (or deep dish)
pie crust
Directions:
Cook sugar, crush pineapple with juice and cornstarch until thick.
Cool and set aside.
Beat cream cheese, sugar and salt. Add eggs one at a time. Blend in
milk and vanilla. Spread cooled pineapple mixture over bottom of
piecrust - pour cream cheese mixture over the top of the pineapple
mixture. Sprinkle with nuts (I leave them out). Bake 400 for l0
minutes; then 325 for approx. 50 minutes.
