Orange and Ginger Cookies

Shortening 1

Brown sugar 1/2

Molasses 1
Egg 2

Orange zest,
fine grated
2 1/4
cups
Flour 1
tablespoon
Ginger 1
teaspoon
Cinnamon 2
teaspoons
Baking soda 1/2
teaspoon
Salt
-----COATING----- 1
tablespoon
Zest 1/2
cup
Sugar
Directions:
Mix all in order given.
Scoop out balls of dough and drop into coating. Toss, then place on cooking sheet and flatten with the palm of your hand.
Crystal coating of sugar on moist orange-ginger cookies .... heaven is a hot cookie!
