Old-fashioned Egg-custard Pie

Ingredients:

samp--------------- 1
unbaked 9-inch pastry shell 4
eggs 2 1/4
c
milk 2/3
c
sugar 1
t
vanilla 1/4
t
salt
nutmeg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. Bake prepared pastry shell for 5 minutes (do not
prick). Cool on wire rack. Beat eggs in mixing bowl. Add milk, sugar,
vanilla, and salt; blend well. Pour filling into pastry shell; sprinkle
with nutmeg as desired. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to
325. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted one inch from
center comes out clean. Do not overbake. Cool on wire rack.
