Mom's Ginger Snaps

Ingredients: 3/4
cup
Crisco, vegetable shortening 1
cup
sugar 1
large
egg 1/4
cup
light molasses 2
cups
all-purpose white flour 2
tablespoons
ginger,
ground
2
teaspoons
baking soda 1
teaspoon
cinnamon,
ground
1/2
teaspoon
salt
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together the Crisco and sugar, add
egg
and molasses. Sift together remaining ingredients and add to creamed
mixture.
Combine well. Form the dough into balls (about the size of walnuts) and
roll i
n additional granulated sugar. Place balls on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake
ab
out 8-10 minutes until cookies appear flattened, crackled and lightly
browned.
