Ingredients:
barbara feuerstein mpdf75a 12
egg whites 4
c
sugar 3/4
qt
heavy cream 1
qt
strawberries,
(or)
2
ts
vanilla 2
qt
ice cream 4
ts
white vinegar
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff with electric beater. Gradually add sugar
as you continue to beat. When sugar is thoroughly dissolved, beat in
vinegar and vanilla. Drop 16 one-inch kisses from spoon onto a cookie
sheet.
Transfer remaining mixture to 12 inch spring form, pushing up against
sides of pan and away from middle.
Bake in very slow oven (275 deg) - kisses for about 25 minutes -
shell, at least 1 hour.
Cool gradually. Don't worry about cracks. Patch sides with pieces of
crust if necessary. Fill with whipped cream mixed with crushed berries
or ice cream topped with whipped cream. Trim with whole berries and
kisses.
