Many years ago, Dear Abby was honored at a dinner in the Phoenix Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky. Pecan Pie was served for dessert. Abby said that NEVER had she tasted anything so delicious! After dinner, she went to the kitchen and congratulated the chef. He was so pleased, he gave her the recipe. He gave her permission to share it with her readers, and she published it. Notes came by the thousands saying, "That was the best pecan pie my family has ever tasted."
