butter or margarine 1/2
cup
powdered sugar,
sifted

egg yolk 1/2
teaspoon
vanilla 1/4
teaspoon
ground aniseed 1/4
cup
almonds,
finely chopped

cups
all-purpose flour 1/2
teaspoon
baking powder
Sifted powdered sugar
Directions:
Cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Stir in egg yolk, vanilla and
aniseed. Stir in almonds. Stir together flour and baking powder; blend
into creamed mixture. Wrap and chill for 30 minutes. Form into 1 inch
balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees about 20 minutes or
until they are a pale sand color. Cool, then top with powdered sugar.
