Jane Johnson's Macadamia Nut Pie

Ingredients: 1
pie shell,
9-inch, unbaked
1
cup
macadamia nuts,
broken
3
large
eggs,
lightly beaten
2/3
cup
sugar 1/2
teaspoon
salt 1/3
cup
butter or margarine,
melted
1
cup
light corn syrup
whipped cream,
optional
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place chopped nuts in bottom of pie shell; set aside. In a medium-sized bowl, beat remaining ingredients with mixer until frothy.
Pour into pie shell and bake for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 250 degrees and continue baking for 45-50 minutes or until pie sets. Let cool then serve with whipped cream if desired.
