Ingredients: 3/4
cup
currants,
soaked in whiskey
4 1/8
cups
all-purpose flour 1/4
teaspoon
salt 1/2
teaspoon
baking soda 1
teaspoon
baking powder 1/4
cup
soft butter 2 1/4
cups
buttermilk
Zest of 1 orange
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Add butter, zest, buttermilk, currant and mix. Pour into 8-inch greased cake pan. Bake at 380 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.
