Ingredients: 2 1/4

Sifted flour 1/3
cup
Maraschino cherries 1
teaspoon
Baking powder 3/4
cup
Crisco 1/2
teaspoon
Baking soda 1
cup
Sugar 1/2
teaspoon
Salt 2
Eggs 1
cup
Chopped pecans 2
tablespoons
Milk 1
cup
Chopped dates 1
teaspoon
Vanilla 2 1/2
cups
Corn flakes,
crushed
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.
Set aside. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. Mix
well. Add chopped pecans and chopped dates. Drop by spoonsful in crushed
corn flakes. Top with cherry. Bake at 375~F for about 10 minutes.
