Directions: 1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8" square pan well.

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Cream butter and sugar until very fluffy; add eggs and beat well. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Beat EXTREMELY well. The longer you beat it the better it will be. Fold in vanilla and floured berries. Pour into pan. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
