Banana Layer Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

cream cheese 1
teaspoon
vanilla 2 1/4

Directions: 1.
Combine bananas and milk. Cream together shortening and vanilla; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well, mix until light and fluffy.

Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add alternately with bananas and milk to creamed mixture, beating some after each addition. Three 9" pans, greased. Bake: 350F for 30-35 min.

Cream Cheese Frosting:
Combine butter, cream cheese, and vanilla. Cream well. Gradually add powdered sugar (sift if lumpy), beating well. If mixture is too thick to spread, add a small amount of milk.
