Light brown sugar 1/2
c
Butter 3
c
Rolled oats 2/3
ts
Vanilla 1/2
c
White sugar 7

Milk 1/2
c
Shredded coconut
Directions:
Mix sugars, butter and milk in a 2-quart saucepan. Boil at least full
2 minutes or to 224 degrees on candy thermometer. Stir frequently to
prevent burning. Remove from heat. Add rolled oats, coconut and
vanilla. Mix well. Drop immediately by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper on
cookie sheet. Work quickly. Let cool until firm. Yield: 2 dozen.
