Ingredients: 2
egg whites 1
pinch
salt 1
pinch
cream of tartar 7
tablespoons
sugar (not substitute)
Directions:
Have egg whites at room temperature. Beat in a nonplastic bowl until frothy. Add salt and cream of tartar and beat until stiff. Gradually beat in the sugar, a tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks form. Spread the meringue mixture on the sides and bottom of a 9-inch nonstick pie pan. Bake in a 275 oven for 1 hour. Turn off the heat and leave in the oven an additional 30 minutes. Remove and cool. Meanwhile, prepare Bavarian filling. Spoon filling into cooled pie shell. Chill 3 hours.
