Tangy Banana Bars

Ingredients:
  M.  PHELPS
1  cup  Brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2  cup  Margarine or butter
1    Jar apricot preserves-10 oz
1  teaspoon  Vanilla
2    Eggs
1 3/4  cups  All purpose flour
1/2  teaspoon  Baking powder
1/2  teaspoon  Baking soda
1  cup  Bananas, thinly sliced about
2    medium
3/4  cup  Nuts, chopped (your choice
    Powdered sugar

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9-inch pan. In large bowl, combine brown sugar, margarine, preserves, vanilla, and eggs; blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. By hand, stir in remaining ingredients except powdered sugar; mix just until blended. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely; sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars.
