C and H Granulated Sugar
-- (divided) 1
c
Butter or margarine 2
Eggs 1 1/2
c
All-purpose flour 1/4
ts
Baking soda 1/4
ts
Salt 2
ts
Ginger 2
tb
Buttermilk
Directions:
Cream together 1 cup sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time,
beating well after each addition. Combine flour, soda, salt and
ginger. Stir in dry ingredients and then buttermilk. Spread in
greased 15 x 10-inch pan. Sprinkle batter with remaining 1/4 cup
sugar. Bake in 400 degree oven 20 minutes. Cool and cut into 64 bar
cookies (1 x 2 inches).
