Oatmeal Raisin Spice Cookie Mix In A Jar

Ingredients: 1
cup
flour 1
teaspoon
ground cinnamon 1/2
teaspoon
ground nutmeg 1
teaspoon
baking soda 1/2
teaspoon
salt 2
cups
oatmeal 3/4
cup
firmly packed brown sugar 3/4
cup
raisins,
mixed with
1/2
cup
sugar
Directions:
1.
Layer ingredients in order given in a one quart wide-mouth canning jar. Gently press each layer before adding the next one.

Decorate jar and add this gift tag: Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl and combine. Add: 1 1/2 sticks melted butter or margarine, 1 egg, slightly beaten and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until blended. Shape into 1 1/2 balls. Bake on cookie sheets prepared with nonstick spray. Bake at 350F for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Cool cookies on baking racks. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
