If you have deep indentations in your carpet from furniture, you might try
this trick to lift the nap. Dip dishtowel in water, wring out and lay,
doubled over the spot. Set your iron to woolen or medium high setting and
carefully lay the iron on the wet towel. Lift edge and check. A few
moments of steaming should do the trick. DON'T LET IRON REST DIRECTLY ON
THE CARPET or you could burn or melt the fibers.
