Butter or margarine

Brown sugar,
firmly packed

Vanilla 1
Egg 1/2

Salt 1

Soda 2

Hungry jack potato flakes

Directions:
Preheat oven 375 degrees. In large bowl cream first four ingredients
until well blended. Beat in 1 egg. Add remaining ingredients and mix
thoroughly. Shape in 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie
sheets. Flatten with the bottom of glass dipped in granulated sugar.
Bake 6 or 7 minutes until golden brown. Store in a tightly covered
container. Makes 5 dozen. For a chewier cookie, reduce cooking time.
